Within the Framework of the Jean Monnet Module Project an International Scientific Conference was held at Georgian Technical University

On November 4-5, 2022, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet module project and together with the Association of European Studies for the Caucasus (AESC) the International Scientific Conference “The Caucasus at the Crossroads: What Role for the EU?” was held at Georgian Technical University.
The conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Georgian Technical University.
The conference was supported by the Faculty of Engineering Economic, Media Technology, and Social Sciences and the Department of Politics and International Relations of Georgian Technical University.
The conference was opened by the Deputy Rector of Georgian Technical University, Professor Zurab Gasitashvili.
The participants of the conference were welcomed by:
Ms. Evija Kotan, Deputy Head of the Policy, Press, and Information Department of the EU Representation in Georgia;
Chairman of the Association of European Studies for the Caucasus – Professor Thomas Kruisman, New Vision University;
The project coordinator Emzar Fazhava, Associate Professor of the Georgian Technical University.
The conference was attended by scientists and PHD students of the Georgian Technical University, Columbia University (USA), Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. (Italy), Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. (Brazil), Polish Academy of Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz University of Poland, Warsaw University (Poland). Beykent University (Turkey), Bahçeşehir University of Turkey, Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, Yeditefe University (Turkey), International University of Mongolia, Western Caspian University (Azerbaijan), Tbilisi State University University, Ilia State University (Georgia), New Vision University ( Georgia)., Grigol Robakidze University( Georgia) Guram Tavartkiladze University (Georgia), National University of Georgia (SEU) ( Georgia).
The conference was held in hybrid mode.
The papers presented at the conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings journal “European Studies”, and the electronic version will be placed on the project website http://jeanmonnet.gtu.ge
The project is supported by the Erasmus + Jean Monnet module and the Georgian Technical University.
