The Jean Monnet auditorium was opened at the Technical University of Georgia

With the support of the university administration, the Dean’s Office, and the European Studies Institute, Jean Monnet’s cabinet was created in the European Studies and Scientific Research Institute of the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Georgia, where the memorial plaque of Jean Monnet will be placed.
The plaque was sent by the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture of the European Commission in the name of Associate Professor Emzar Fazhava of the Technical University of Georgia and the European Studies Institute, where the project “The European Idea and the European Integration of Georgia” is implemented, which won the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module program. in the competition
The board received from Brussels was accompanied by a letter that read:
“We are pleased to send you the Jean Monnet Memorial Plaque that the Executive Office is awarding to your organization.
This board has a dual purpose. First of all, it serves the quality of teaching European integration and represents your achievements in this field in terms of Jean Monnet.
At the same time, it also makes Jean Monnet’s work visible and presents it as a key element for the development of European issues, both within your institution and beyond.
We hope you will be proud to showcase the board and wish you success in your European endeavors.”

Based on this, with the support of the university administration, the dean’s office, and the educational and scientific-research institute of European Studies, Jean Monnet’s auditorium was created, where the memorial plaque of Jean Monnet will be placed.
After the end of the pandemic, the memorial plaque will be officially opened. The Cabinet will support: the organization of meetings and round tables on European integration issues; providing information and consulting services to professors and students interested in European integration processes; active involvement of students in the study of European integration processes; developing interdisciplinary learning and appropriate skills and increasing its effectiveness; implementation of the goals and objectives set by the educational and scientific-research institute of European studies; Implementation of the project “European idea and European integration of Georgia”
